BeeSweet™ Lemonade

BeeSweet™ Lemonade, a refreshing drink created by entrepreneur Mikaila Ulmer when she was just four-years-old, is headed to the shelves of Sugar Land Whole Foods Market.

As a toddler, Mikaila Ulmer used her great-grandmother’s lemonade recipe to transform her fear of bees into a passion for social entrepreneurship. She originally created the healthy, refreshing lemonade for a kid-entrepreneur event by adding locally harvested honey and fresh mint to a recipe sent to Mikaila by her great Granny Helen.

Today, BeeSweet™ Lemonade is headed to the shelves of the world’s leader in natural and organic foods. Starting on April 14, BeeSweet Lemonade will be available at the Sugar Land Whole Foods Market, 15900 Southwest Fwy. Mikaila will personally hand out samples and facilitate a workshop on Saturday, April 19 from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.

“While attending a store opening in Austin I stumbled across a passionate, energetic and delightful young lady. I was so taken by her and her story I fell in love with the product immediately. I am so grateful to bring Mikaila, her story and her wonderful product to the Houston area!”- Erica Gentry, Store Team Leader Sugar Land

BeeSweet Lemonade puts a healthy twist on an old-fashioned favorite. The locally harvested honey makes it a source for antioxidants, vitamins and minerals; not to mention the rich in Omega-3 essential fatty acids provided by the flaxseed. The naturally delicious drink is handmade and bottled in Austin, Texas. It is caffeine-free and contains no artificial ingredients or high-fructose corn syrup.

BeeSweet Lemonade Now in Whole Foods- Sugar Land

Mikaila Ulmer is just as passionate about saving honeybees as she is about selling her lemonade.

“One of every three bites of food we eat depends on the honey bee, so they are important for many reasons. I’m happy Whole Foods Market Sugar Land will sell my lemonade year-around. I know I’ll be able to do more to save one of our most important pollinators,” said Mikaila Ulmer, Owner of BeeSweet Lemonade.

Mikaila leads workshops for youth organizations and families on how to save honeybees, and donates 20 percent of the profits from the sale of her lemonade to organizations fighting hard to save the bees. Her motto: “Buy a Bottle, Save a Bee.”

Sugar Land Whole Foods Market is the first store in Houston to carry BeeSweet Lemonade. However it is currently available for purchase in all the Whole Foods Markets in Austin, Texas as well as a growing number of restaurants and food trailers.
